I originally got involved in the run after seeing an article about it in the Quincy Herald Whig.  I was a runner in high school, but hadn't run in awhile and I wasn't sure if I could do it, but something told me that I needed to get involved with this group.  That gut feeling paid off and I was able to do something that not only was a great experience for me personally, but it also allowed me to do something that I love to do and that is helping kids.  I have inspired other members of my family to also get involved with this run and with helping St. Jude Children's Hospital. 

We have the easy part.  Raise money and run.  Those kids have the difficult part and if I am able to do even a small part to make their lives more comfortable then that is what I was put here to do.  I would strongly encourage any and all who are able to become involved in the Quincy to Peoria St. Jude Run to do it.  It is a life changing experience and will be well worth it.
